Dr. Christopher Danner
Born and raised in the Big Easy-New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Danner completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry. Thereafter, he obtained his M.D. from Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
During his third year of medical school training, Dr. Danner's exposure to the specialty of OB/GYN propelled his conviction to pursue a career in women's health. Enthusiastically dedicated to his specialty, he states, "The energy and feeling you get bringing a new life into this world cannot be put into words. I feel truly blessed and fortunate to be in this profession."
At the University of Florida, Dr. Danner served as the Administrative Chief Resident. Upon completion of residency training, he was presented two prestigious awards for his teaching skills-best overall resident teacher and best overall medical student teacher. Moreover, he was chosen the best obstetrician of his graduating class.
Dr. Danner's many professional interests include: General wellness and prevention; family planning; high-risk pregnancy care and delivery; adolescent gynecology; polycystic ovarian syndrome; menopause / hormones; minimally-invasive laser & laparoscopic surgery, and the latest outpatient alternatives to hysterectomy. "My philosophy of care is based on prevention and empowering women to understand their own health issues. Questions and concerns are thoroughly addressed prior to beginning any treatment." Dr. Danner's personal interests extend to spending time with his wife, Cortney and new baby girl, Emerson; as well as, to physical fitness, music, reading, cooking, sports, and travel. He is a parishioner at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. |
